Red Pork Press is a small, dynamic publishing company founded by Antony Suvalko and Leanne Kitchen. Based in New Zealand and Australia, Red Pork Press brings together years of food-travel publishing experience and a passion for world cuisines. We are experienced in crafting good-looking, engaging content from photography, design, snappy copy and recipes through to the creation of websites, smartphone apps and books. Our latest project is an ongoing series of city-specific culinary travel guides called In 12 Dishes. Shanghai In 12 Dishes, Ho Chi Minh City In 12 Dishes, and Penang In 12 Dishes are in bookstores world-wide, and available through our online shop. Singapore In 12 Dishes and Bangkok In 12 Dishes are publishing this year. 


Antony Suvalko is an unlikely mix of a foodie-centric technology geek and digital media specialist. He has over 25 years hands-on business experience under his belt including the running of his own successful catering company; between cooking gigs and completing his London City And Guilds, Antony studied accountancy and economics, and was Business Development Manager for illycaffe. Antony launched in 2009, which fast became one of New Zealand’s go-to food and recipe sites. Never one to stay idle, Antony consults to varied technology businesses and co-created the series of food-based smartphone apps called Eat Like A Local, made in collusion with Air New Zealand. The first to launch was Sydney, followed by Los Angeles, Melbourne and Shanghai. He collaborated with Leanne Kitchen to produce The Real Food of China, a cookbook focussing on rustic Chinese fare. This was followed by East, Culinary Adventures in South East Asia. Antony lives in Mt Eden, Auckland with his family and assorted four legged pets.

Leanne Kitchen is a well-known food and travel writer and photographer who has morphed from professional chef to, variously, food stylist, food editor, cooking demonstrator, recipe developer, travel and food photographer and cookbook author. Her articles, food styling, recipes and photographs have appeared in publications such as Vogue Entertaining + Travel, Australian Gourmet Traveller, Qantas The Australian Way, Taste, Kia Ora, Travel+Leisure Australia, Belle, Australian Home Beautiful, Masterchef magazine and SBS Feast magazine. She has been a reviewer for the prestigious Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide and a regular contributor to A published author, her books include The Produce Bible, The Butcher, The Baker and Turkey, Recipes And Tales from The Road (all by Murdoch Books). Her latest books, The Real Food of China and East Culinary Adventures in South East Asia were co-authored with Antony Suvalko. Recently the two have produced the smartphone App series Eat Like A Local. Leanne and her family live in the inner west of Sydney.
